The Chef behind the cakes...

Our Story

I make breads, cakes, pies and cookies with quality ingredients, the way my grandmother made her renowned baked goods. I not only learned how to bake from grandma, but as she aged, I became her hands..."Grandma's hand..." She was that lady who brought a baked good to every gathering and party, that one  everyone loved.  What grandma didn't teach me was how to make desserts appealing to the eyes. If it's not fresh out of the oven, people eat with their eyes. So I enrolled in culinary school in 2008. --- the same year she died. In school I also learned the science of baking.  You can't just remove eggs, or sugar or flour, something has to replace them.  And when customers have allergies, not only do I make it my goal replace what is removed with real food, but it should also feels, tastes, and  look like the original. 

Making modifications became a personal goal as well, and I could not find bakers who could make baked goods in a healthy way. So Kacey's Cakes was born in 2009. At first I made just about anything that friends and family asked me to try.  

I am also a public health professional, so I care about dietary restrictions and allergens. We want everyone to eat Kacey's Cakes!
